About This Position

Northwestern Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced Line Cook to work rotating shifts in our food service operation. Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including grills, ovens, fryers, and other cooking tools
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and food safety standards throughout your work station and the kitchen
• Follow portion control guidelines and manage food inventory at your station
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet meal production schedules and support service flow
• Adapt quickly to rotating schedules and shift changes as needed by the food service department

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Line Cook or similar food service kitchen role
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen operations
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, healthcare food service environment
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to food safety and sanitation practices
• Flexibility with rotating shifts and part-time scheduling
