Site Electrical Engineer

IOTA GROUP is seeking a Site Electrical Engineer for a contract position in Cabo, Cabo Delgado, Mozambique. This role focuses on electrical installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting at active operational sites, working hands-on with complex electrical systems and infrastructure.

Role Overview

As a Site Electrical Engineer with IOTA GROUP, you will manage electrical systems and infrastructure across our operations in Cabo. Working directly on-site, you'll ensure all installations meet safety standards, perform reliably, and comply with local and international electrical regulations. This contract opportunity allows you to apply technical expertise in a fast-paced operational setting where your work directly impacts project success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and maintain electrical systems and equipment at project sites
• Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve electrical faults
• Verify all electrical work meets safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements
• Coordinate with site teams and project managers to integrate electrical systems into broader operations
• Document electrical installations, maintain comprehensive records, and prepare technical reports
• Support system commissioning, testing, and handover procedures for new installations

Requirements

• Professional certification or qualification in electrical engineering or equivalent hands-on experience
• Demonstrated experience in site-based electrical installation and maintenance work
• Sound knowledge of electrical safety codes, standards, and regulatory frameworks
• Ability to diagnose and resolve electrical system problems independently
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
• Physical capability to work in demanding operational conditions
