What This Role Involves

As a Credit Risk Analyst at MET Group, you'll evaluate and monitor credit exposure across our portfolios, identifying risks and opportunities that drive sound financial decision-making. You'll work at the intersection of data analysis and strategic finance, using quantitative skills to assess counterparty credit quality and support our broader risk management objectives.

Responsibilities

• Analyse credit risk profiles of counterparties and monitor portfolio exposure against established risk limits
• Conduct credit assessments and prepare risk reports for internal stakeholders and management
• Develop and refine credit models and scoring methodologies to evaluate credit quality
• Support the implementation of credit risk policies and compliance with regulatory requirements
• Investigate credit events and contribute to loss mitigation strategies
• Collaborate with trading, operations, and compliance teams to ensure robust credit governance

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment frameworks and methodologies
• Experience with financial modelling or credit analysis (or equivalent exposure)
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
