What This Role Involves

As an Operations Finance Analyst at Wabtec in Burton on Trent, you'll serve as a critical link between the finance function and operational teams, delivering the analytical rigour and reporting that enables smart business decisions. This full-time position gives you the opportunity to develop deep expertise in financial planning, cost management, and performance analysis within a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Develop and monitor operational budgets and financial forecasts specific to the Burton on Trent site
• Conduct variance analysis and investigate deviations from budgeted performance
• Lead cost reduction programmes and evaluate efficiency improvements
• Create financial dashboards, reports, and presentations for senior management
• Partner with operations teams to understand cost drivers and operational requirements
• Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes
• Maintain data accuracy and integrity across financial systems and records

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Studies, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
• Proficient in Excel and familiar with financial analysis and reporting tools
• Strong analytical capability with problem-solving aptitude
• Capable of managing complex datasets and communicating findings clearly
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational discipline
• Experience in or comfort with manufacturing, operations, or production environments
• Professional communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
