Temporary – Lead Facility Engineer

Dexterra is hiring a Temporary Lead Facility Engineer in Shepherdstown, WV to oversee critical facility operations and infrastructure systems. The Opportunity

You'll take the helm of facility management operations, directing all maintenance activities, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure. You'll coordinate closely with department managers, schedule preventive maintenance, enforce safety standards, and drive continuous improvement in facility performance.

Your Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily facility maintenance and operations activities
• Oversee performance of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems
• Create and execute preventive maintenance schedules to reduce unplanned downtime
• Enforce safety compliance procedures and manage emergency response protocols
• Direct and mentor maintenance staff on operational standards and best practices
• Monitor energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements
• Diagnose complex building system problems and coordinate repairs
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance work

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in facility engineering or maintenance management
• Solid expertise in HVAC, electrical systems, and plumbing infrastructure
• Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and manage maintenance teams
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for building systems
• Experience with facility management software and maintenance scheduling tools
• Valid driver's license and ability to commute to Shepherdstown, WV
• Commitment to safety and regulatory compliance
