About This Position

The Lean Leader role at Wabtec is pivotal to our continuous improvement mission. You'll work across manufacturing, quality, engineering, and operations—collaborating directly with plant leadership and frontline teams to strengthen our processes, eliminate waste, and sustain the high-quality standards our customers expect. This position is based on-site at our Duncan, Spartanburg County location and offers a genuine opportunity to shape how we operate.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional kaizen events and improvement initiatives that reduce cycle time, lower costs, and boost safety across the plant
• Partner with manufacturing and quality teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement lean solutions that stick
• Coach frontline supervisors and operators on lean methodologies and problem-solving techniques, building a culture of continuous improvement
• Collaborate with engineering and operations leadership to align manufacturing processes with business objectives and customer requirements
• Develop and track key metrics that measure improvement progress and communicate wins to stakeholders
• Support safe, efficient production by embedding lean principles into daily plant operations

What You Bring

• Proven experience in lean manufacturing, process improvement, or a related discipline—ideally in a production environment
• Strong facilitation and coaching skills; you inspire teams to embrace continuous improvement
• Solid understanding of lean tools (value stream mapping, 5S, kaizen, root cause analysis) and how to apply them in manufacturing
• Ability to communicate clearly with operators, supervisors, and executives across different levels
• Problem-solving mindset paired with data-driven decision-making
• Commitment to workplace safety and building high-performing teams
