What This Role Involves

As a Cashier with Pilot Company, you'll be the front line of customer interaction at our Valparaiso travel center. You'll operate point-of-sale systems, process customer transactions accurately, and maintain the checkout experience that keeps our guests coming back. Whether handling fuel purchases, retail items, or food orders, you'll need to be efficient, friendly, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced retail environment.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to ring up purchases and process payments
• Accept cash, credit, and debit card payments while maintaining accuracy
• Scan merchandise and bag items for customers
• Assist customers with product information and answer questions
• Maintain a clean, organized checkout area and adjacent retail spaces
• Follow cash handling procedures and security protocols
• Work collaboratively with team members during busy periods
