About This Position

As a Cashier at our Midland, Texas travel center, you'll be the front line of customer service excellence. This full-time role is essential to our operations, requiring strong communication skills, accuracy with money, and a commitment to creating a positive experience for every guest who walks through our doors. You'll work as part of a dedicated retail team in a busy, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently to process customer transactions
• Handle cash, cards, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Scan merchandise, verify pricing, and provide customers with itemized receipts
• Maintain an organized, accurate cash drawer and reconcile counts at shift end
• Greet customers warmly and answer questions about products and services
• Stock shelves and displays, ensuring merchandise is clean, organized, and well-presented
• Follow company policies and procedures, including loss prevention protocols
• Report equipment issues or discrepancies to management promptly

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred
• Previous cashier or customer service experience a plus
• Strong math skills and attention to detail with numbers
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
• Comfortable with point-of-sale technology and basic computer skills
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
