Wake Night Care Assistant

Home Instead is recruiting a Wake Night Care Assistant to provide compassionate overnight support to clients in the Folkestone & Hythe District area. This is a full-time, in-person role offering meaningful work in domiciliary care.

The Opportunity

Join a respected home care provider and become a valued member of the team supporting vulnerable adults during the night hours. As a Wake Night Care Assistant, you'll offer essential assistance to elderly and care-dependent individuals within their own homes, maintaining independence and dignity whilst ensuring safety and wellbeing through the night shift.

Your Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight care visits to clients' homes across Folkestone & Hythe District
• Provide personal care support including assistance with washing, toileting, and dressing as required
• Help clients with medication reminders and manage basic healthcare tasks
• Respond promptly to client calls and requests during night shifts
• Maintain accurate records of care delivered and report any concerns to management
• Support clients with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other daily living tasks
• Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the wider care team

Requirements

• Genuine passion for providing compassionate care to older or vulnerable adults
• Reliability and commitment to working consistent night-shift hours
• Ability to work independently and use initiative whilst visiting clients in their homes
• Clear, recent Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) certificate or willingness to undertake one
• Strong communication skills and a respectful, person-centred approach to care
• Flexibility to respond to the varying needs of different clients
• Right to work in the UK
