Home Instead is hiring a full-time Care Assistant-Weekends for remote, community-based work delivering compassionate domiciliary care to older adults and vulnerable clients across the New Romney area. About the Role

As a Care Assistant-Weekends with Home Instead, you will provide personalised, quality care to clients in their own homes during weekend shifts. You'll work within the community, supporting clients with daily living activities whilst building trusted, long-term relationships. This full-time position offers the chance to develop your caregiving skills within a supportive, established care organisation committed to genuine person-centred support.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
• Provide companionship and emotional support to clients during care visits
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate updates to the care coordinator
• Respect client dignity, privacy, and independence in all interactions
• Support medication reminders and contribute to personalised care plans
• Ensure a safe, clean home environment for each client you support

Qualifications

• Genuine compassion and patience working with older people and vulnerable adults
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with diverse clients and families
• Physical capability to assist with movement and personal care tasks safely
• Reliability and flexibility for consistent weekend working patterns
• Willingness to undergo background checks and adhere to safeguarding standards
• Desirable: relevant care experience or care certification, though comprehensive training is provided for motivated candidates
