AEM and Adobe Target Architect

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential technology organization seeking an experienced AEM and Adobe Target Architect to lead technical design and development initiatives. This is a fully remote position open to candidates anywhere in the world.

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading technical design and development projects, guiding engineering teams, ensuring code quality, and aligning solutions with business goals and technical standards. You'll collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions and implement A/B testing strategies in Adobe Target.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of AEM-based architectures to support digital marketing strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AEM solutions with existing systems
• Design caching and security strategies including Dispatcher, firewall, and CDN configurations
• Define strategies for multi-site and multi-language web applications leveraging AEM capabilities
• Create and manage A/B and multivariate tests with audience segmentation using Adobe Target, leveraging A4T for enhanced analytics
• Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, HTL/Sightly components, workflows, and DAM implementations
• Provide expert guidance on AEM system engineering and best practices for future-proof solutions
• Work closely with marketing teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions
• Provide ongoing technical support to AEM engineers, functional SMEs, and business analysts

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 10+ years of hands-on AEM development experience with strong foundation in Java, Sling, OSGi, JCR, and Apache Web Server
• 5+ years leading AEM architecture and delivery teams in client-facing applications
• Deep understanding of Adobe Suite including Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Target, Adobe Launch, Adobe Analytics, and Customer Journey Analytics
• Experience integrating third-party applications (SalesForce, OneTrust, 6sense) and Adobe products with AEM
• Proven experience with Adobe Admin Console, Adobe Support, and Adobe Cloud Manager for production deployments
• Extensive full-stack development experience with strong system and application design abilities
• Experience with SPA frameworks such as Vue.js and React, along with AEM backend frameworks (OSGI, Sling, Sightly)
• Strong hands-on experience with components, templates, taxonomy, metadata management, workflows, content publishing, and Maven deployments
• Deep understanding of system architecture including high availability, disaster recovery, caching, CDN, and persistence layers
• Proven track record launching complex enterprise-level platforms using AEM Cloud Service or AEM 6.5
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for engaging both executive stakeholders and engineering teams
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and test-driven development practices
