About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organisation seeking an experienced Head of Product to lead the evolution of their optimisation and orchestration products. This is a hybrid role based in London (3 days in office, 2 days remote).

Our client operates at the cutting edge of payment technology, and this position sits at the strategic intersection of Product, Data Science, and Commercial teams. You'll be translating analytical insights into measurable business outcomes, connecting complex technical capabilities with commercial value, and ensuring optimisation becomes a core growth driver.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Define and drive the long-term strategy and roadmap for optimisation and orchestration products, ensuring clear differentiation and customer value
• Establish commercial frameworks for optimisation, working with Finance, Sales, and Marketing to design value-based pricing models
• Lead the evolution of optimisation from a capability into a scalable product line, influencing positioning, packaging, and monetisation
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to develop AI/ML-powered optimisation features that improve authorisation, reduce costs, and drive performance gains
• Work closely with Sales, Relationship Management, and Marketing teams to articulate product value and support commercial success
• Translate model performance and analytical insights into ROI-focused, commercially compelling narratives for customers and stakeholders
• Enable commercial teams to position and sell optimisation as a premium, value-generating product
• Serve as subject matter expert on interchange and scheme fee pricing and optimisation opportunities
• Define success metrics, experimentation frameworks, and governance around optimisation performance
• Promote strong product management discipline across optimisation workstreams, from discovery through measurement

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications:

• Demonstrable experience in Product Management with a proven track record leading and scaling complex, data-driven products
• Clear evidence of delivering commercial outcomes through product strategy
• Commercially astute with the ability to craft value propositions and communicate financial impact to senior audiences
• Natural influencer capable of inspiring cross-functional teams and aligning stakeholders around a common vision
• Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capability in fast-moving environments
• Ability to balance strategic ambition with operational focus using data and evidence

Highly desirable:

• Deep understanding of payment transaction lifecycle, including authorisation, authentication (3DS), settlement, fraud, chargebacks, interchange and scheme fees
• Experience with AI/ML-powered product development
• Track record in fintech or payments technology environments
