Head of FP&A – Europe

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential digital health organization seeking a Head of FP&A to take ownership of financial planning and analysis across their European operations. This is a foundational leadership role with significant scope to shape how the function evolves.

You will own the strategic direction for FP&A, leading:

• Development and continuous evolution of financial models underpinning forecasting, scenario planning, and three-way modelling
• Annual budgeting cycles and regular re-forecasts end to end, setting planning standards across the business
• Long-term planning and investment decision support, including scenario analysis and business case development for board-level initiatives
• Monthly reporting and variance analysis at leadership and board level, connecting financial performance to strategic drivers
• Senior finance partnership with functional leads across Commercial, Marketing, Technology and broader operations
• Financial planning and reporting infrastructure roadmap, working with Data & Analytics to automate and improve accessibility
• Building and leading the FP&A team as the function scales, with direct hiring and management responsibility

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a fully qualified finance professional (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent) with:

• Extensive experience, typically 8+ years, in FP&A, commercial finance, or business partnering at senior or leadership level in fast-paced or scaling environments
• Advanced financial modelling expertise with demonstrated experience building and owning complex forecasts and three-way financial models from scratch
• Proven track record building an FP&A function or reporting infrastructure—this is essential
• Genuinely commercial, board-ready mindset with curiosity about the whole business, not just Finance
• Strong executive presence and ability to influence and build trust with senior leadership and board members
• Comfort with significant ambiguity and track record of taking full ownership in high-growth, evolving environments
• Prior experience managing or building a team is strongly preferred

Beneficial but not required: experience in high-volume D2C or tech-enabled businesses, supporting fundraising or investor relations, or selecting and implementing FP&A platforms.
