Founding GTM Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a fast-moving B2B SaaS client in Berlin seeking their first GTM Engineer. You will establish revenue operations as a core discipline and architect the full revenue engine from foundation to execution. Pipeline health, conversion rates, and revenue efficiency will be your primary metrics.

You will inherit existing infrastructure including a configured CRM, deal-scoring tooling, call intelligence systems, and company-wide AI access—but the underlying layers remain unbuilt. Your mandate is to create the data foundation, automated processes, forecasting rigor, and AI-driven workflows that turn these tools into a true revenue engine.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role with direct access to leadership, full autonomy over priorities, and budget for the tools you need.

Day-to-day work includes:

• Building trustworthy data foundations: CRM hygiene, field governance, deduplication, automated enrichment workflows
• Automating the revenue process end-to-end: lead routing, SLA enforcement, stage progression criteria, clean cross-team handoffs
• Architecting the pipeline generation stack: ICP scoring, enrichment orchestration, signal-based outbound so the team focuses on conversations rather than list-building
• Integrating AI into daily workflows: call intelligence automation, research agents, health and churn scoring models
• Establishing weekly forecasting and reporting that leadership can actually steer from
• Ensuring adoption: instrumenting usage, training teams, iterating based on real feedback

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• Hands-on experience architecting a CRM platform like HubSpot from scratch—defining objects, properties, and data structures, not just administering an existing setup
• Production experience with outbound and enrichment tooling such as Clay or similar platforms
• Real production work building with AI and LLMs: prompt engineering, agents, or AI-powered workflows that shipped to end users
• Strong data discipline: you can analyze a funnel, identify dirty data sources, and quantify the ROI of a fix before building it
• Systems thinker who sequences work strategically and can defend technical decisions under scrutiny

Nice-to-haves:

• Early GTM Ops or RevOps hire experience at a startup
• Familiarity with call intelligence platforms and sales intelligence outbound tools
• Comfort with unit economics: CAC, ACV, payback period analysis
• Experience with mid-market, multi-stakeholder B2B sales cycles
