Agent Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential blockchain analytics organization that is building AI-powered internal systems to drive operational excellence. Our client is transforming how their business processes operate—from workflows to decision-making—through intelligent automation and agentic AI. We're seeking a full-stack Agent Engineer to join their operations team in London and help design the next generation of internal tooling.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of AI engineering and business process automation, building agent fleets that will fundamentally change how teams work. You'll partner directly with senior leadership to turn complex operational processes into intelligent, scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of agent fleets to model complex business processes using LangChain and comparable frameworks
• Design and build APIs and workflows that integrate LLM frameworks with existing business systems
• Design, optimize, and query data models across relational and NoSQL databases
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver an agentic platform from concept through production
• Participate in technical design reviews, planning sessions, and code reviews to maintain high system quality
• Contribute to infrastructure and observability practices alongside the engineering team
• Work iteratively with internal users to forge solutions that meet their needs and drive measurable productivity gains

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience, with strong Python proficiency
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with LangSmith or comparable LLM/AI frameworks—this is essential
• Proven API design skills with production experience building and maintaining APIs
• Production cloud experience with AWS services (Lambda, ECS, S3, etc.)
• Experience with Helm charts and Kubernetes—this is required
• Database proficiency with SQL (Postgres or similar) and exposure to NoSQL stores
• Structured approach to problem-solving and system design trade-offs
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, product, and design teams

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Node.js frameworks like NestJS or Express
• Hands-on experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tooling
• Experience with observability platforms like Datadog (metrics, tracing, alerting)
• Exposure to DynamoDB or other NoSQL databases at scale
• Experience with distributed or event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, etc.)
• Interest in cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, or compliance domains
