The Opportunity

Delivery Hero operates across multiple European markets where gig economy and platform work regulations continue to evolve rapidly. We're seeking a dedicated legal professional to lead our employment law strategy, with particular expertise in platform worker classification, rights, and compliance obligations. You'll be central to ensuring our operations align with current and emerging EU employment frameworks whilst protecting the company's legal position in this dynamic regulatory landscape.

Core Duties

• Provide expert legal counsel on EU employment law matters, with focus on platform worker classification and regulatory compliance
• Review and advise on employment contracts, policies, and practices across multiple European jurisdictions
• Monitor regulatory developments affecting platform workers and gig economy operations throughout the EU
• Support negotiations with regulatory bodies and labour authorities on employment-related matters
• Develop and implement compliance strategies addressing platform worker protections and social security obligations
• Collaborate with operations, HR, and senior leadership on legal risk mitigation and strategic decisions

What We're Looking For

• Qualified lawyer with substantial experience in EU employment law and platform worker regulations
• Deep knowledge of employment legislation across multiple EU member states
• Strong understanding of gig economy classification requirements and compliance obligations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional European languages valued
• Ability to translate complex legal issues into clear, actionable business advice
• Proactive, strategic approach with keen attention to regulatory developments and industry trends
