About This Position

BJC HealthCare is seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse for its Emergency Room team in Weldon Spring. You'll work full-time on evening shifts—a three-shift 12-hour schedule—providing direct patient care, emergency response, and comprehensive nursing support in a high-acuity setting. This is a benefits-eligible position that empowers nurses to practice at the full scope of their licensure and professional capabilities.

Core Duties

• Assess patients' physical and psychological needs during triage and throughout their emergency care
• Monitor vital signs, administer medications, and perform emergency interventions under physician direction
• Provide compassionate patient education and emotional support to patients and families in crisis situations
• Collaborate with Emergency Department physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary care teams
• Document patient information, treatments, and responses in electronic health records
• Respond rapidly to emergency situations, including trauma, cardiac events, and acute medical conditions
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized Emergency Department environment

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state
• Experience in emergency care or acute care nursing (preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and responsive in high-pressure, high-acuity environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional development
