About the Role

As a Medical ICU (MICU) Registered Nurse at BJC HealthCare, you'll deliver direct patient care to critically ill adults requiring intensive monitoring and medical management. This full-time role operates on a rotating shift schedule, reflecting the 24/7 nature of intensive care nursing. You'll work within BJC's evidence-based clinical framework, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to medically complex ICU patients, including hemodynamic monitoring, medication management, and respiratory support
• Assess and respond to acute changes in patient condition, escalating concerns and implementing clinical interventions
• Educate patients and families about critical illness, treatment plans, and recovery expectations
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and care teams to develop and execute individualized care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively across shifts
• Participate in evidence-based practice initiatives and continuous quality improvement

What We're Looking For

• Current RN licensure in Missouri or multistate compact state
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
