About This Position
The platform economy is rapidly changing across Europe, and so are the legal frameworks governing it. As Legal Counsel focused on EU employment law for platform workers, you'll be at the heart of ensuring Delivery Hero's compliance and fair practices. This role combines strategic counsel with hands-on legal work, positioning you as a trusted advisor to operations, finance, and leadership teams across Central and Eastern Europe.
Responsibilities
- Advise on EU employment law compliance, including regulations affecting platform workers, gig workers, and independent contractors across our markets
- Draft, review, and update employment agreements, terms of service, and platform policies to reflect current legal requirements
- Monitor regulatory changes and provide proactive legal guidance to internal stakeholders on shifting employment classifications and worker protections
- Support contract negotiations and employment-related disputes with practical legal solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement compliant hiring, onboarding, and worker management practices
- Conduct legal risk assessments and advise on emerging employment law issues affecting our operations
What We're Looking For
- Qualified lawyer with strong expertise in EU employment law and platform worker legislation
- Proven experience advising on gig economy and on-demand delivery worker regulations
- Fluent English; additional EU language skills valued
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal teams
- Strong research and drafting capabilities for employment law documentation
- Organised, proactive approach to managing multiple compliance priorities
