Join Delivery Hero as a Coordinator Rider On Ground Ops, based in Alexandria, Alexandria Governorate, EG. This contract position places you at the heart of our delivery operations, where you'll coordinate rider activities and ensure seamless ground logistics across the region.
About This Position
Our ground operations team depends on skilled coordinators who can manage the complex choreography of deliveries, rider assignments, and real-time problem-solving. In this role, you'll be the operational backbone connecting riders, customers, and our logistics network. You'll work on-site in Alexandria, overseeing daily delivery coordination and supporting the efficiency of our network.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate rider schedules and delivery assignments to optimise route efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Monitor delivery progress in real-time and respond to operational challenges as they arise
- Communicate with riders to provide guidance, resolve issues, and ensure compliance with delivery standards
- Track performance metrics and report on ground operations activity
- Support rider onboarding and provide ongoing operational guidance
- Liaise between customers, riders, and management to resolve delivery exceptions
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, rider information, and operational incidents
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic
- Ability to problem-solve quickly and work independently
- Experience in operations, logistics, or customer-facing coordination
- Familiarity with mobile applications or GPS tracking systems
- Reliability and commitment to maintaining high operational standards
- Local knowledge of Alexandria roads and neighbourhoods is advantageous
