Applications Programming, Advisor

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential national security organization seeking a full-time Applications Programming Advisor to support critical mission systems. This role is ideal for a highly skilled developer with strong experience in full-stack development and data engineering working in an Agile development environment.

You will design, develop, and optimize web and database solutions, ETL pipelines, and reporting frameworks that support mission-critical applications. This position is 100% remote within the United States.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Develop applications based on specifications provided by software developers or stakeholders
• Create, modify, and test code, forms, and scripts to support application functionality
• Conduct testing and trial runs to validate accuracy and performance of applications
• Maintain, update, and improve existing programs to increase efficiency and adapt to new requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Document data lineage, processes, and technical specifications to ensure transparency and compliance
• Develop advanced T-SQL queries, including stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers
• Analyze, review, and enhance programs using workflow charts, diagrams, and logical design techniques
• Develop and support reporting solutions using SSRS, including dataset design
• Develop solutions for data storage, retrieval, and system integration
• Partner with technical and business teams to clarify requirements, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret eligible clearance
• U.S. citizenship required
• 8 years relevant work experience with BS/BA or 6 years relevant work experience with MS/MA
• Experience supporting and developing custom web-based applications
• 6+ years of experience with Angular
• 6+ years of experience with Microsoft.NET Framework, C#, ASP.NET, and Visual Studio

Preferred qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with SQL Server
• 5+ years of experience using Bootstrap UI, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and website design
• Experience in cloud development
• Experience with Microsoft DevOps for workload planning and management
• Excellent technical troubleshooting, code debugging and problem-solving skills for custom-built applications and databases
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to interact with others
• Excellent organizational skills with ability to work on multiple projects/assignments simultaneously
• Proven leadership, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under general supervision in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and changing priorities
