Founding Recruiter (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential recruiting organization entering an exciting growth phase in Leipzig. Our client is building a talent function from the ground up—focused on quality, personal connection, data-driven decisions, and delivering measurable results rather than activity for activity's sake.

As a Founding Recruiter, you won't simply fill an existing role. You'll take ownership of recruiting mandates from the start while actively shaping processes, technology choices, and the culture of how recruiting is done. This is a rare opportunity to build something meaningful with a team that values results over presence and clarity over consensus.

Responsibilities

• Own recruiting mandates end-to-end, from intake and requirement clarification through successful placement
• Consult directly with clients and constructively challenge hiring requirements when needed
• Develop tailored search and sourcing strategies for each mandate
• Identify, engage, and directly approach qualified candidates
• Conduct screenings and structured interviews
• Provide thorough candidate assessments and present shortlists to clients
• Manage multiple concurrent recruiting projects effectively
• Work closely with hiring managers and decision-makers without intermediaries
• Build and nurture long-term client relationships that generate repeat business
• Co-design recruiting processes, workflows, and operational standards
• Deploy AI, automation, and modern recruiting technology where it genuinely improves outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Several years of hands-on recruiting experience working independently
• Demonstrated expertise in active sourcing, interviewing, and managing full-cycle recruiting processes
• Ability to advise clients and respectfully disagree when your professional judgment differs
• Ownership mindset with comfort making decisions autonomously
• Structured, results-oriented work style with high quality standards balanced by pragmatism
• Curiosity about technology, AI, and willingness to experiment with new approaches
• Genuine interest in building rather than only operating within established structures
• Professional fluency in both German and English, written and verbal
• Alignment with principles of results over activity, clarity over harmony, responsibility over excuses, respect for time and focus, and diversity as a performance driver

Pay

The client offers €45,000–€50,000 annual base salary plus performance-based variable compensation that rewards quality work, sustained client relationships, and repeat business rather than speed alone.
