Sr Software Engineer (B2B Scores)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential analytics software organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their B2B Scores engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to work on industry-leading scoring products deployed across global markets, where you'll leverage multiple programming languages and modern cloud infrastructure to deliver high-performance solutions that serve both internal and external clients.

You'll work in a collaborative, startup-like environment within small engineering teams, gaining hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle while mentoring junior engineers and driving technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support high-performance, low-latency services across Java, C++, Groovy, and Python, optimizing for throughput and reliability in mission-critical B2B applications
• Lead cloud architecture and DevOps initiatives using AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, EKS, IAM, and API gateways
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage Kubernetes clusters to ensure scalability and operational excellence
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, design collaboration, and hands-on project ownership while ensuring quality, on-time delivery
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics, Data, and Product Management teams to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions
• Leverage AI coding assistants for routine tasks including scaffolding, test generation, refactoring, cross-language code ports, and documentation
• Maintain and upgrade product source code using modern design principles and software architecture patterns
• Write product specifications, document features, and present technical solutions to diverse audiences

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 7+ years of software development and delivery experience
• Strong coding skills in C, C++, or Java (.NET/C# also valued)
• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience with services like ECS, IAM, EKS, S3, Lambda, and API gateways
• Experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/PostgreSQL, Angular JS, and NgRx (store, signals/entity/effects)
• Experience in AI prompt engineering and working with large language models
• Strong software architecture background with modern design principles: MVC framework, abstract factory patterns, design patterns, class diagrams, and ER diagrams
• Proficiency in SDLC processes and deployment methodologies
• Strong database knowledge including SQL/PostgreSQL and SQL/NoSQL query optimization
• Experience with Git and Bitbucket version control systems
• Ability to work effectively with geographically distributed teams
• Python or Groovy experience is a plus
• Agile methodology, test-driven development (TDD), and test automation experience preferred
