Senior Manager Continuous Improvement (Remote + 75% Travel) (US)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Manager of Continuous Improvement to lead transformation initiatives across multiple facilities. This remote role requires up to 75% travel to drive operational excellence and strategic alignment.

In this position, you will:

• Facilitate strategic planning and alignment processes (Hoshin Kanri) at segment, business unit, and plant levels, developing project charters with planning leaders
• Utilize Value Stream Mapping and Extended VSM to identify major reorganization opportunities across business processes, logistics, and manufacturing operations
• Lead and mentor a team of continuous improvement specialists, providing professional development and guidance
• Serve as a Lean Trainer, developing certification programs and building internal training capacity
• Oversee analysis of existing processes to identify inefficiencies and optimization opportunities
• Lead change management efforts to ensure improvement initiatives are effectively adopted organization-wide
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior executives to secure support and resources for improvement projects
• Partner with plant leadership to introduce and sustain performance management programs including tiered Gemba walks, escalation processes, and accountability tracking
• Utilize data and KPIs to evaluate initiative success and drive data-driven decision making
• Manage a portfolio of improvement projects aligned with organizational goals while tracking progress and impact
• Implement quality control measures and maintain comprehensive documentation of improvement initiatives

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 15-20 years of relevant experience in operations or manufacturing environments
• 10+ years of experience in Continuous Improvement, Lean, or Six Sigma roles
• Minimum 4 years in a technical leadership role with demonstrated management and leadership capabilities
• Experience implementing continuous improvement systems and methodologies
• Proven ability to influence others through leadership, teaching, and hands-on demonstrations of Lean principles
• Strong time management skills with ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks effectively
• Results-oriented track record of delivering outcomes in fast-paced environments
• Process improvement and data analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Operations, Industrial/Manufacturing/Process Engineering, or related field
• Lean or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
