Product File Specialist II (Virtual-5, US)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential electrical distribution organization in their search for a Product File Specialist II to join their Product Data Management team. This is a remote position supporting operations in the Eastern Time Zone, requiring residence in MD, NJ, NY, PA, or VA with up to 20% travel.

In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of product master data across ERP systems, ensuring reliable product information that supports procurement, inventory management, and digital commerce initiatives. You'll serve as a technical resource while partnering with purchasing, pricing, supply chain, and digital commerce teams to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accuracy, completeness, and consistency of product master data across ERP platforms and business systems
• Analyze and optimize product records including attributes, specifications, pricing, supplier information, and classifications
• Collaborate with purchasing and pricing teams to ensure timely product information supporting sales growth and procurement effectiveness
• Conduct ongoing data quality audits and proactively resolve discrepancies to maintain data integrity
• Execute and monitor product data synchronization processes between ERP systems and manufacturer content sources
• Support enterprise data governance, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to Product File Specialists on data management best practices
• Maintain and optimize product classification structures to support reporting, inventory management, and eCommerce
• Monitor compliance with product data standards and recommend improvements

What We're Looking For

Required Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in wholesale electrical distribution, industrial distribution, supply chain operations, product data management, or master data governance
• Proven experience with ERP systems, Product Information Management (PIM) platforms, and/or B2B/B2C eCommerce environments
• Demonstrated ability to analyze, maintain, and improve large-scale product data sets with exceptional accuracy
• Experience collaborating across multiple business functions to support operational and commercial objectives

Required Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of electrical products, including form, fit, and function
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Experience with product data standards, classification frameworks, and supplier content syndication
• Knowledge of digital commerce platforms, data governance principles, and master data best practices
