Soft Play Team Member

Greene King is recruiting a Soft Play Team Member for their venue in Wigan, Lancashire. This is a part-time position offering an opportunity to work in a dynamic, family-friendly environment where you'll help create memorable experiences for young visitors.

Position Summary

We're looking for an enthusiastic, safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Soft Play Team Member at our Wigan location. You'll be responsible for the day-to-day running of our soft play facility, ensuring all children have a fun, secure, and enjoyable experience whilst maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Your role is essential in creating a welcoming atmosphere where families feel confident and children can play freely.

Core Duties

• Supervise children during soft play sessions, maintaining constant vigilance to ensure their safety
• Conduct regular safety checks and equipment inspections to meet health and safety standards
• Keep the play area clean, hygienic, and well-maintained throughout shifts
• Welcome families, check in visitors, and manage capacity in line with safety regulations
• Respond to inquiries and concerns from parents and carers with professionalism and care
• Enforce venue rules and age-appropriate guidelines to protect all users
• Support special events or birthday parties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 or relevant experience working with children
• A genuine passion for child safety and safeguarding
• Strong attention to detail and responsibility
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
• Ability to stand for extended periods and be physically active
• Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends and school holidays
• Relevant certification (such as First Aid or childcare qualifications) advantageous but not essential
