Core Duties

• Plan, prepare, and oversee the cooking of high-quality dishes that reflect contemporary tastes and meet customer expectations
• Lead, train, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and teamwork
• Design and update menus based on seasonal availability, customer feedback, and cost efficiency
• Maintain rigorous food hygiene and safety standards in accordance with health regulations
• Control food costs, manage inventory, and order supplies to optimise profitability
• Work closely with front-of-house management to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
• Maintain kitchen equipment and facilities, reporting maintenance needs promptly

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a Head Chef or senior kitchen role within a professional catering environment
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and modern culinary trends
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop kitchen teams
• Understanding of food hygiene regulations, allergen awareness, and health and safety compliance
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment under pressure
