What This Role Involves

As Head Chef with Greene King in London, you'll take charge of all kitchen operations, from menu conceptualisation through to plate presentation. You'll manage food preparation, quality assurance, and compliance with hygiene standards, whilst creating an environment where your team can thrive and develop. Your vision and leadership will shape the dining experience for our customers every single day.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and refine menus that balance creativity with commercial viability and customer preferences
• Oversee all kitchen staff, providing training, mentorship, and clear direction to ensure consistent food quality and service standards
• Maintain rigorous food safety and hygiene practices, managing compliance with relevant legislation and internal procedures
• Control food costs and waste through careful stock management, supplier relationships, and portion discipline
• Collaborate with front-of-house teams to deliver seamless service and gather customer feedback to continuously improve offerings
• Ensure kitchen health and safety protocols are adhered to, protecting your team and guests

• Proven experience working as a Head Chef or senior kitchen leader in a busy, multi-outlet environment
• Strong culinary knowledge with the ability to create innovative, high-quality dishes that delight diners
• Natural leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing kitchen teams
• Comprehensive understanding of food safety legislation, health codes, and best-practice kitchen management
