About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization that is transforming how complex products are sold online. Our talent team is seeking a Senior or Staff Product Engineer who approaches development with both technical depth and product instinct. This is a remote position based in Germany, ideal for engineers who want to own outcomes, not just ship code.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering excellence and product strategy. You'll work across the full stack—TypeScript, React, Svelte, serverless AWS microservices—while collaborating closely with product managers and designers to deliver features that matter to users.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain microfrontend architectures and serverless cloud services using modern TypeScript tooling
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including backend engineers, frontend specialists, designers, and product managers to ship impactful features
  • Own features end-to-end: from ideation and RFC authoring through delivery and iteration
  • Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and elevate engineering standards across the organization
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and pair programming sessions to drive velocity and knowledge sharing
  • Make product decisions grounded in customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
  • Identify and resolve issues proactively before they impact users or metrics

What We're Looking For

  • Strong product thinking: you focus on delivering user and customer value, not just writing elegant code
  • Hands-on experience with React or similar JavaScript frameworks
  • Practical knowledge of RESTful APIs or GraphQL
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Understanding of application security principles and how to build secure, reliable systems
  • Ownership mentality: you take initiative, drive features to completion, and thrive on responsibility
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: you understand how your work impacts business outcomes
  • Problem-solving skills: you see challenges as opportunities for growth
  • Collaborative approach: you're a team player who motivates and inspires those around you
  • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or XP
  • Fluency in English; German language skills are a plus
