Senior QA Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential cloud services organization in their search for a Senior QA Engineer with deep expertise in contact center technology and Amazon Connect. This is a fully remote position based in the USA.

Our client specializes in cloud modernization and AI implementations for enterprise customers. In this role, you will lead quality assurance for complex contact center projects—designing test strategies that span voice flows, routing logic, AI-driven conversational agents, and full-stack serverless architectures. Your work will directly impact production contact centers where testing gaps translate to missed customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies for Amazon Connect implementations, including contact flows, routing logic, IVR/self-service, Cases/Tasks workflows, and Contact Lens configurations
• Build test plans that validate AI agent behavior: intent recognition accuracy, escalation paths, barge-in/fallback handling, guardrails, and multilingual voice interactions
• Validate legacy-to-Connect migrations through parallel-run testing, flow conversion verification, and data migration validation
• Build and maintain manual and automated test suites using Playwright, Cypress, and Selenium for E2E, API, and integration testing against live Amazon Connect instances
• Test custom Agent Workspace experiences and validate serverless, event-driven backends (Lambda, EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, DynamoDB, Kinesis)
• Execute phased rollout and cutover validation for live contact centers; verify monitoring and alerting coverage prior to go-live
• Participate in production incident triage, reproduce defects, and validate fixes across the contact center stack
• Perform security and compliance validation including IAM checks, DevSecOps scan review, and encryption verification
• Partner with engineers to shift testing left through pair programming, acceptance criteria review, and early risk identification
• Run UAT sessions with customer stakeholders, triage findings, and drive defects to resolution
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute reusable test assets back to the practice

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of QA/test engineering experience, including 1+ years testing contact center, CCaaS, or IVR/voice platforms
• Hands-on experience with Amazon Connect or comparable CCaaS platform: contact flows, routing, Cases/Tasks, and reporting
• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks (Playwright for E2E and API tests, Cypress, Selenium) for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Experience testing serverless/event-driven AWS architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions)
• Working knowledge of conversational AI/voice testing considerations: intent accuracy, latency, fallback behavior
• Strong defect documentation and triage skills; comfortable running UAT sessions with business and technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions) and integrating automated tests into deployment workflows

Preferred Qualifications:

• Contact center migration testing experience (Avaya, Genesys, NICE)
• Experience with AI observability/trace validation or accessibility engineering
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or relevant Specialty)
• Contact center operations fluency: quality management, outbound compliance, and CX KPIs
• Consulting or client-delivery background

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: USD $95,000–$119,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The client's compensation package may also include bonuses, equity, and other incentives depending on performance and role.
