About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential technology consultancy seeking a Senior Java Developer to join their team. In this role, you will shape software development projects from technical conception through successful implementation, bringing your expertise in modern Java architectures and frameworks while collaborating with project managers, business analysts, and fellow developers.
Responsibilities
- Independently consult on, design, and implement IT projects for our client's customers
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions within both traditional and agile development teams
- Develop modern client-server applications with web frontends and Java backends
- Maintain collaborative partnerships and open communication with customers and stakeholders
- Share knowledge with colleagues and support onboarding of new developers
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of experience developing Java Enterprise applications with Spring and Spring Boot
- Advanced knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MS SQL, or Oracle DB
- Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Proficiency with modern development tools including Git, Jenkins, Maven, and SonarQube
- Enthusiasm for agile development methodologies such as TDD, Clean Code, Continuous Integration, and test automation
- Interest in DevOps and cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
- Strong communication skills in German
- Willingness to participate in 2-3 on-site meetings per month for company events and training
