(Senior) Software Developer Frontend / React (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential SaaS organization based in Saarbrücken. They are seeking a senior-level software developer with strong full-stack capabilities and a forward-thinking approach to AI-assisted development. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern technologies across both backend and frontend, while helping shape how development teams leverage AI tools in their daily workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop features and improvements across the full stack of a cloud-based application, working with Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI on the backend and React with TypeScript on the frontend
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
• Collaborate closely with development teams and coordinate with product management, UX, sales, and other stakeholders
• Drive adoption of AI-first development practices by exploring new tools, sharing best practices, and integrating AI meaningfully into team workflows
• Support technical documentation efforts for the product
• Conduct AI-assisted code reviews and help apply AI tools in day-to-day development processes
• Support ticket distribution and steering of the development process

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree in computer science or related IT field, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist in application development
• At least 3 years of relevant full-time professional experience working across both backend and frontend
• Strong experience with Python and backend development using Django and Django REST Framework; FastAPI experience is a plus
• Confident in designing and developing REST APIs and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and ORM-based data modeling
• Hands-on experience with React and building single-page applications; proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and ES6 standard library
• Experience with frontend frameworks such as Ant Design or Material UI is a plus
• Routine use of AI-assisted coding tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or comparable) with ability to critically assess output and integrate it sensibly into existing workflows
• Enthusiasm for shaping an AI-first development culture by trying new tools, sharing experiences, and helping the team work smarter
• Appreciation for both remote work and in-person collaboration with colleagues in Saarbrücken
