Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential media technology organization in München, and our talent team is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Analytics & Data Platforms department. In this role, you will:

  • Develop tracking and measurement concepts in collaboration with product, editorial, and engineering teams, defining relevant KPIs and ensuring data completeness, clarity, and reliability
  • Work at the interface between technical data collection and analysis, using SQL to query and structure datasets
  • Create dashboards, reports, and analyses that enable teams to measure success transparently, identify trends early, and understand target audiences in a differentiated manner
  • Serve as an analytical sparring partner, advising editorial and product teams on deriving concrete action recommendations from data
  • Analyze how users engage with digital content and products, translating complex analytics and tracking data into understandable, actionable insights
  • Support product and editorial teams in making informed decisions and continuously improving digital offerings

What We're Looking For

  • Completed degree with a quantitative or analytical focus (such as Business Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, Social Sciences, or Economics) or comparable qualification
  • Experience analyzing and processing large datasets, as well as working with digital usage and tracking data
  • Strong SQL skills, ideally with BigQuery experience
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and dbt is highly desirable
  • Experience creating reports and dashboards using BI and visualization tools, particularly Power BI
  • Understanding of tracking concepts, KPIs, and data quality, with interest in working at the intersection of product and engineering
  • Strong analytical abilities for solving complex data problems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills in an international environment
  • Fluency in both English and German (minimum C1 level)
