(Senior) UX Researcher (all genders)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce organization seeking a Senior UX Researcher to join their product team. In this role, you will:

• Plan and execute research projects across the full spectrum—from foundational studies informing immediate product decisions to strategic work shaping long-term user experience vision
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers across multiple product areas, engaging early in the problem definition phase
• Own projects end-to-end: scoping research questions, selecting appropriate methodologies, conducting studies, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations
• Combine qualitative and quantitative methods including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, unmoderated testing, and behavioral analytics, triangulating insights rather than relying on single sources
• Leverage AI tools in daily research work and help shape team best practices for AI application
• Contribute to the research repository to ensure insights are documented and reusable across teams
• Conduct competitive benchmarking and integrate those findings with primary customer research to identify strategic opportunities
• Facilitate workshops and create formats that effectively communicate insights, following through until research influences decision-making

What We're Looking For

• Native or near-native German fluency and fluent English, as the majority of customer and seller interviews are conducted in German
• Several years of experience in qualitative and quantitative user research with in-depth expertise in UX methods
• Comprehensive understanding of customer-centric agile product development processes
• Strong foundation in either qualitative or quantitative research, actively building skills in the other, with solid understanding of statistical methods and analytical thinking
• Experience conducting research at different stages of product development: generative, solution validation, and end-to-end
• Proactive approach with comfort taking ownership and presenting findings to stakeholders at all levels
• Pragmatic scoping abilities, balancing research speed and depth based on decision requirements
• Current use of AI tools in research practice
• Enthusiasm for working in a collaborative team environment with early work sharing and peer learning

Location and Work Arrangement

This position offers flexibility to work remotely within Germany or from offices in Cologne, Darmstadt, Düsseldorf, or Berlin. The role is available as a permanent contract on a full-time or part-time basis.
