BT Architect & Security Lead (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

Our client, a confidential aerospace organization, is seeking a BT Architect & Security Lead to join their technical team in Backnang. In this role, you will:

• Develop and design secure, scalable BT (OT & ET) architecture, including solution patterns and modeling guidelines, to serve as the foundation for applications and networked engineering and manufacturing systems
• Advance and implement segmentation and network concepts for production facilities and engineering laboratories in close coordination with central IT, specialist departments, and machine/software suppliers
• Consistently integrate and enforce security-by-design principles in requirements management for new manufacturing and IT systems, ensuring compliance with security-relevant specifications
• Further develop the BT architecture and ensure alignment with the overarching enterprise architecture
• Evolve the BT security handbook and establish and track strategic BT security objectives
• Provide expertise for business processes, change management transformation, functional improvements, and technological enablement for business process reengineering
• Support architecture initiatives across projects

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in IT architecture with strong focus on the convergence of IT and OT/production environments
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, ideally including IEC 62443 and ISO 27001 standards
• Proficiency in network design and network segmentation
• Confident use of architecture frameworks and process modeling
• Very good German language skills (C1 level)
• Citizenship from NATO or EU member states is required for this position
