Senior Manager – Transitions & Client Relations

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential BPO organization that provides finance and accounting services to multinational clients. We're seeking a Senior Manager to lead transitions and client relations for their growing portfolio serving markets across Australia, the UK, and the United States.

This position reports to senior leadership and requires someone who can bridge the gap between offshore delivery teams and client stakeholders while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operations for finance and accounting client accounts across multiple geographies
• Lead and develop finance teams delivering services on Australian, UK, and US calendars
• Manage end-to-end transition processes: capture scope, plan resource requirements, conduct assessments, and ensure seamless handover of work
• Build and structure teams, align responsibilities, and integrate offshore resources with client onshore teams
• Partner with clients to co-create training programs and knowledge transfer plans
• Monitor and ensure teams meet KPIs, SLAs, and quality standards consistently
• Oversee timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closure processes
• Identify and pursue new client servicing opportunities to expand account relationships
• Conduct process reviews and drive continuous improvement through efficiency gains and automation initiatives
• Serve as primary point of contact for client relationship management, addressing needs and concerns proactively

What We're Looking For

• Professional accounting qualification: CIMA, ACCA, or CPA required
• 7-10 years of experience in transition and client management roles within the finance and accounting sector
• Minimum 3 years in a managerial or leadership position
• Mandatory: proven client servicing experience in a BPO or shared services environment
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial operations in multinational or BPO settings
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
• Excellent leadership skills with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams
• Outstanding communication skills in English; ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and stakeholders at all levels
• Proven track record delivering process efficiency and automation projects
• Proficiency in financial software systems, accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements preferred
• Flexibility to work from home or office on an Australian calendar
