About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential data center cooling technology organization in their search for an experienced General Manager. This is a unique opportunity to lead a high-growth operation backed by substantial financial resources, driving innovation in mission-critical infrastructure cooling solutions. You'll shape strategy, scale operations, and build a talented team in one of the industry's most dynamic market segments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operational aspects including product development, sales, finance, and team leadership
• Develop and execute business strategies aligned with market opportunities in the data center sector
• Own P&L accountability, ensuring delivery of monthly and annual financial commitments while driving sustainable growth
• Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation
• Develop and maintain direct customer relationships with demonstrated responsiveness to customer needs
• Drive business development strategies, cultivate strategic partnerships, and expand market presence
• Implement operational strategies, processes, and best practices to support business growth and competitiveness
• Communicate complex challenges and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Oversee customer communications with relentless focus on delivery, quality, and cost
• Build collaborative relationships with leadership to ensure strategic alignment

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in business required; Master's degree in business preferred
• 7+ years of experience in key leadership roles
• Commercial building or data center industry experience
• Proven track record of driving strong financial and market share outcomes through effective strategy and execution
• Demonstrated success leading startup or high-growth businesses through rapid, sustainable expansion
• Background in data center infrastructure, HVAC, or cooling technologies strongly preferred
• Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships across organizations
• Experience delivering superior sales results and customer satisfaction

Location: Remote - California preferred; candidates in other US locations, Canada, or United Kingdom may be considered
