Manager, Construct Portfolio Delivery

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy technology company in their search for a Manager, Construct Portfolio Delivery. Our client is pioneering digital solutions and automation platforms that support the design, optimization, and construction of utility-scale solar projects worldwide. This is a remote position based in the United States.

In this role, you will lead a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators responsible for successful delivery across a portfolio of utility-scale solar construction projects. You will report to senior operations leadership and serve as the driving force behind execution quality, team development, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Project Managers and Project Coordinators at various experience levels
• Establish career development frameworks, succession planning, and performance management systems
• Drive accountability through measurable team goals and operational KPIs
• Oversee hiring, onboarding, workforce planning, and organizational design
• Establish and monitor portfolio-level metrics across schedule, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance
• Ensure appropriate project staffing and resource balancing across the portfolio
• Define operating rhythms for project reviews, escalation management, and decision-making
• Serve as escalation point for delivery issues and customer concerns
• Maintain exceptional customer engagement throughout project lifecycles
• Support executive customer relationships and participate in strategic discussions
• Develop and maintain project management standards, workflows, templates, and governance frameworks
• Improve project lifecycle processes from intake through closeout
• Partner with cross-functional teams including Product, Data Operations, Technology, Sales, and Finance
• Support annual planning, forecasting, budget development, and capacity planning
• Define operational metrics and dashboards to improve predictability and execution

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, Energy, Operations, or related field
• 8-10+ years of experience in project delivery, operations, construction technology, renewable energy, or adjacent industries
• 3+ years of direct people leadership experience managing Project Managers or equivalent delivery teams
• Demonstrated success leading distributed or cross-functional teams
• Strong experience managing portfolios rather than solely individual projects
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Primavera P6, or similar platforms
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple customers and programs
• Willingness to travel up to 30% of the year, primarily domestic to project sites and offices

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering, project management, operations, or related field
• PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent certification
• Experience in PMO, delivery, or customer operations functions
• Experience supporting utility-scale solar, construction technology, GIS, remote sensing, or data delivery environments
• Familiarity with financial planning, resource forecasting, and operational KPIs

Pay

The client has indicated a base salary range of $100,000 – $140,000 for this position, determined by experience, skills, and location.
