SDET II

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization in their search for an SDET II to join their engineering team. Our client is building credit infrastructure at global scale, and this role offers the chance to impact quality assurance across backend services and mobile applications serving millions of users.

This is a remote position open to candidates anywhere, working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.

Responsibilities

• Develop test automation suites to expand test coverage across microservices and integrate into regression and release processes
• Support release cycles and communicate issues to product teams in a timely manner
• Deliver tools to test integration with third-party services including payment rails, SMS/email providers, KYC systems, and analytics platforms
• Integrate automated test execution into the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with squad leads and stakeholders to strategize automation rollouts
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Data, Credit, Business Development) to identify automation opportunities that enhance product quality
• Maintain, review, and propose improvements to existing frameworks, tools, and processes
• Continuously learn new tools and optimize test frameworks

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 4+ years of experience building test tools and frameworks using Groovy, Kotlin, Java, or Scala
• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools
• Proficiency in Linux or Mac OSX environments for backend or frontend services
• Hands-on experience developing with AI coding assistants and agents (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, OpenAI Codex, or similar)
• Proven track record designing, building, and refining custom AI skills, workflows, and autonomous agents
• Experience with BDD testing paradigm and behavior-driven testing frameworks such as Spock, JBehave, or Cucumber
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and automation
• Experience working in Agile development processes (Scrum or Kanban)
• Experience with version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab
