Bulgarian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader (Part -time)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential localization services organization seeking a part-time Bulgarian Localization QA Tester / Proofreader for a long-term engagement. This is a stable position with no planned end date, offering the opportunity to work remotely from France, Germany, Greece, Romania, or Spain.

As part of our client's linguistic quality team, you'll ensure Bulgarian content is natural, accurate, and culturally appropriate for end users. You'll review localized content across software, mobile applications, and documentation, checking for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and contextual accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Execute test cases and quality-check Bulgarian localized content across digital products
• Identify, document, and report localization bugs and errors through internal tracking systems
• Verify that reported issues have been correctly resolved after implementation
• Evaluate translations within the context of software interfaces, mobile apps, and technical documentation
• Translate content from English to Bulgarian as needed
• Explore user interfaces to discover localization or functional issues
• Serve as a subject matter expert for Bulgarian linguistic questions, conducting research to resolve issues
• Adhere to project-specific quality standards, style guides, glossaries, and client checklists
• Complete assigned tasks within quality standards and deadlines
• Troubleshoot basic problems and escalate testing issues effectively

What We're Looking For

• Native-level fluency in Bulgarian with strong cultural awareness of Bulgaria
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in Bulgarian and English
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to understand and prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently
• Highly organized with the ability to follow testing instructions and test cases accurately
• Experience or background in marketing, journalism, copy editing, proofreading, writing, translation, or localization preferred
• Comfortable working with bug-tracking tools and internal database systems
• Interest in quality assurance within digital products
• Ability to work part-time on a long-term basis
