Project Coordinator, Data Creators

Figure, an AI robotics company developing autonomous humanoid robots for home and commercial applications, is hiring a Project Coordinator for its Data Creators team in Los Angeles, CA. This full-time, in-office position offers a base salary of $35–$40 per hour, with additional compensation components available depending on specific qualifications and experience.

About This Position

The Data Creators organization at Figure manages how training data is captured, at what volume, and to what quality standards across production sites. As Project Coordinator, you'll manage the complete lifecycle of assigned data collection projects—from initial planning through final delivery. You'll serve as the liaison between data engineering requirements and operational execution, translating technical specifications into actionable capture plans. This role requires five days per week on-site collaboration to ensure seamless coordination across hardware, facilities, and team resources.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct end-to-end data collection projects, maintaining delivery timelines and quality targets.
• Act as the primary liaison between Helix engineering and project execution teams, converting technical requirements into operational plans.
• Monitor project progress, anticipate delays, and coordinate across dependencies to keep delivery on track.
• Identify and resolve infrastructure, hardware, and facility constraints that impact data capture operations.
• Collaborate with the Data Quality function to identify and remediate issues during data collection.
• Develop, document, and refine standard operating procedures for data collection workflows.
• Participate in task design and capture configuration for your assigned project domains.
• Lead and develop direct reports, including performance management and structured feedback.

Requirements

• Minimum two years of experience in operations, data collection, production coordination, or equivalent role with documented success managing a complete project or workstream.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain project schedules while managing interdependencies involving people, equipment, and physical infrastructure.
• Track record writing or maintaining standard operating procedures that other team members executed.
• Ability to partner effectively with engineering and technical stakeholders to clarify requirements and build operational guidance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with capability to serve as a project's single point of contact.
• Experience in people management, or demonstrated readiness to manage direct reports.

Bonus qualifications include a background in robotics, autonomous systems, motion capture, or physical AI data; familiarity with motion capture or wearable sensor hardware; or experience in high-growth startup operations.
