About This Position

Figure develops autonomous humanoid robots designed for both residential and commercial environments. At the core of this mission sits data quality — the standards, processes, and oversight that guarantee our training datasets meet the rigorous specifications our AI systems demand. In this full-time role based in North San Jose, you'll own the complete project lifecycle for data quality initiatives, from establishing review criteria to executing audit programs to coordinating the human teams who validate our data. You'll work in-office five days per week, collaborating directly with engineering and AI teams to translate technical requirements into practical, executable quality standards. The US base salary range for this position is $35 to $40 per hour, with total compensation that may include additional benefits based on experience and role-specific factors.

Your Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain review guidelines and acceptance criteria for assigned projects; manage edge cases and exceptions.
• Lead the development of golden datasets and ground-truth construction for your project domain.
• Design and execute audit programs that measure compliance; incorporate audit results into ongoing improvements.
• Oversee analyst teams and coordinate work across multiple concurrent initiatives within your scope.
• Document standard operating procedures and refine them based on post-project evaluation.
• Supervise team members where applicable, including performance management and development conversations.
• Create and deploy training curricula and calibration sessions to align reviewers on quality standards.
• Serve as the primary liaison for vendor management, including establishing and monitoring service-level agreements.
• Bridge data science and operations by converting engineering specifications into concrete review guidance.

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years working in data quality, data labeling operations, or content and data review roles with documented ownership of end-to-end projects or workstreams.
• Track record writing guidelines, acceptance criteria, or operational procedures that teams successfully executed.
• Experience executing audit programs and translating findings into process improvements.
• Ability to collaborate with technical stakeholders (engineers, ML researchers) to convert requirements into operational clarity.
• Demonstrated experience managing vendor relationships and establishing or maintaining service-level agreements.
• Leadership readiness: either active people management experience or proven ability to take on direct reports.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfort with ambiguity and iterative problem-solving.

Additional strengths we value include experience building golden sets or ground-truth datasets, background in robotics or autonomous systems, exposure to LLM or physical AI data challenges, and expertise designing training or calibration programs for review teams.
