Product Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing enterprise software company in the supply chain planning space. Our client is expanding their product engineering teams in Wiesbaden and needs experienced Product Engineers who can bridge customer problems, technical execution, and strategic outcomes.

This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own a product area end-to-end—from discovery and requirements through deployment and iteration. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, product strategy, and customer success, shipping solutions that solve real business problems for global retail and manufacturing organizations.

Responsibilities

• Own requirements end-to-end for your product area, from discovery through user acceptance testing and quality assurance, ensuring solutions address underlying problems rather than just stated requests
• Manage your deployed product and iterate rapidly: coordinate releases, gather structured customer feedback, and incorporate learnings into subsequent iterations
• Partner closely with your Engineering Manager to translate customer needs and usage data into prioritized roadmap items grounded in measurable outcomes
• Serve as an industry and product expert in customer-facing contexts, including scoping, feasibility discussions, and sales support
• Challenge stated requirements when evidence suggests alternative solutions, using data and domain expertise to guide decision-making
• Validate that shipped solutions genuinely meet customer expectations through ongoing quality gates and proactive expectation management
• Build and deploy solutions using existing frameworks, applying solid software engineering and DevOps practices
• Mentor other Product Engineers and contribute to organizational AI strategy development

What We're Looking For

• Deep understanding of end-user workflows, goals, and pain points across a complete product domain
• Confidence to push back on customer requests when evidence points to better solutions, backed by strong communication skills
• Experience mentoring or leading other product engineers
• Proven ability to design solutions to complex problems involving data systems, AI/ML components, user experience, and system integration
• Solid software engineering and DevOps skills with experience building and deploying production systems
• Comfort using AI tools in daily work and contributing to broader AI adoption strategies
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Experience working with international, distributed teams is a strong plus
• Must be based in or willing to relocate to Wiesbaden and hold valid work authorization for Germany
