Internship AI & Automation – Energy (m/f/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential clean-energy technology organization seeking an AI & Automation Intern to join their Energy team in Berlin. In this role, you will take ownership of end-to-end automation projects, from analyzing operational processes to implementing scalable solutions.

• Lead automation initiatives independently, working through operational workflows to deeply understand customer-level processes before automating them
• Collaborate with Process and Operations teams to identify pain points and build solutions with measurable business impact
• Leverage automation platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier) and coding agents to connect systems and develop application prototypes
• Design and implement robust, scalable data structures while ensuring all automations are properly documented in knowledge bases
• Evaluate emerging AI tools and automation platforms, proposing improvements to streamline and enhance operational processes

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Data Science, or related field—or demonstrated technical aptitude through practical experience
• Hands-on experience with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier
• Strong initiative and proactive approach to driving projects forward
• Availability for at least 5 months, ideally 6 months
• Fluent German communication skills (minimum C1 level) required for this position
• Eagerness for a steep learning curve and openness to feedback
• Previous energy sector experience is a plus but not required—motivation and willingness to learn are what matter most
