About the Role
As a PCA/Caregiver working afternoons, you'll be at the heart of our mission to enhance quality of life for the individuals and families we serve. You'll support clients with personal care tasks and companionship during afternoon shifts in a home setting. This role combines hands-on caregiving with compassion, patience, and professional responsibility as part of Phoenix Home Care and Hospice's interdisciplinary care team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
- Provide companionship and personal care during assigned afternoon hours
- Help with light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe home environment
- Observe and report changes in client condition to supervisory staff
- Respect client privacy and dignity while maintaining professional boundaries
- Follow individualized care plans and facility safety protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Ability to lift and transfer clients safely, with or without assistive devices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassion and patience working with diverse client populations
- Reliability and flexibility with afternoon scheduling
- Willingness to obtain certifications as required (CNA or PCA certification if not already held)
