Phoenix Software

Phoenix Software is seeking a Professional Services Engineer specializing in Microsoft Cybersecurity to join our growing team, supporting enterprise clients across the United Kingdom and beyond. This is a full-time remote position where you'll architect, deploy, and optimise security solutions that protect organisations from evolving cyber threats.

About This Position

As a Professional Services Engineer, you'll work directly with enterprise clients to translate their security requirements into robust, scalable Microsoft cybersecurity implementations. You'll serve as a trusted technical advisor, guiding organisations through deployment, configuration, and optimisation of Microsoft's comprehensive security platform. Your expertise will span the full lifecycle—from initial architecture and design through to post-deployment support and knowledge transfer. Remote working means you'll collaborate seamlessly with clients and colleagues across multiple time zones whilst maintaining work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Microsoft cybersecurity solutions tailored to each client's risk profile and regulatory environment
  • Configure and deploy Microsoft Defender, Azure security services, and identity protection solutions
  • Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for improving threat posture
  • Deliver technical training and documentation to ensure client teams can manage and maintain their security infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot complex security issues and collaborate with Microsoft support when needed
  • Maintain detailed project documentation and ensure successful knowledge transfer at project close
  • Stay current with Microsoft security updates, features, and emerging threats

What We're Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft cybersecurity products (Defender, Azure Security, Sentinel, or Purview)
  • Demonstrable experience implementing security solutions in enterprise environments
  • Understanding of security architecture, threat models, and compliance frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Problem-solving mindset with a commitment to customer success
  • Relevant certification such as AZ-500, AZ-104, or similar Microsoft security qualifications (desired)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple client engagements

Why Join Phoenix Software

Phoenix Software partners with organisations solving real business challenges through technology. You'll work with a collaborative team genuinely invested in your professional development, gain exposure to cutting-edge cybersecurity implementations, and directly impact client security posture. The remote structure offers flexibility whilst maintaining a strong technical culture.
