Azure Technical Consultant

Phoenix Software is looking for an experienced Azure Technical Consultant to join our team in the United Kingdom. This is a full-time remote position where you'll lead cloud transformation initiatives and deliver enterprise-grade Azure solutions for our clients.

Position Summary

As an Azure Technical Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of helping organisations migrate to and optimise their cloud infrastructure. You'll work directly with clients to architect scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. Your deep technical expertise, combined with consulting acumen, will guide clients through complex digital transformations and ensure they achieve measurable business outcomes from their Azure investments.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and deliver comprehensive Azure architecture solutions tailored to client requirements and business objectives
• Lead cloud migration assessments, develop migration strategies, and oversee implementation across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
• Provide technical guidance on Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, databases, and security solutions
• Conduct client workshops and training sessions to build internal cloud competency and drive adoption
• Optimise existing Azure deployments for performance, security, and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet compliance, governance, and operational requirements
• Stay current with Azure service innovations and recommend emerging technologies that add value to client engagements

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Azure platform, including core services and architectural patterns
• Strong experience with cloud migration, infrastructure-as-code, and hybrid cloud scenarios
• Solid understanding of networking, security, compliance, and identity management in cloud environments
• Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for business stakeholders
• Track record of successful client engagements and project delivery in a consulting environment
• Relevant Microsoft certifications (such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator) are highly valued
• Experience with DevOps practices and containerisation technologies is a plus
