Senior Major Gift Officer

We're seeking a Senior Major Gift Officer to join the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia in Middle West, Philadelphia County. This full-time position is central to our fundraising mission, building transformational relationships with committed philanthropists who drive lasting community impact.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Major Gift Officer, you'll hold a frontline leadership role in donor relations and major gift development. You'll work directly with top-tier prospects and established donors to cultivate multi-year commitments—from five-figure gifts through six-figures and beyond—that strengthen our Annual Campaign, fuel strategic initiatives, and build endowed funds for the future. This role combines relationship mastery with strategic fundraising acumen to advance Jewish Federation's core mission.

What You'll Do

• Research and identify major gift prospects within the Greater Philadelphia region
• Develop and maintain deep relationships with high-capacity donors and community leaders
• Solicit multi-year gifts and planned giving commitments for annual operations, special campaigns, and endowment growth
• Steward donors through meaningful engagement and impact reporting
• Manage a portfolio of prospect and donor relationships, tracking cultivation and solicitation progress
• Partner with Federation leadership and board members to align donor interests with organizational priorities

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in major gift fundraising or nonprofit development
• Proven success in cultivating and closing significant philanthropic commitments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with high-net-worth individuals
• Knowledge of major gifts strategy, planned giving, and donor motivation
• Ability to manage complex relationships independently and collaboratively
• Alignment with Jewish values and commitment to community service
