Purview Technical Consultant

Phoenix Software is seeking a Purview Technical Consultant to deliver enterprise data governance and compliance solutions across the United Kingdom. This is a full-time remote position.

Role Overview

As a Purview Technical Consultant at Phoenix Software, you'll architect and implement Microsoft Purview solutions that help organisations establish robust data governance frameworks, manage regulatory compliance, and unlock insights from their data estate. You'll partner with enterprise clients to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions whilst demonstrating expertise in cloud platforms, data architecture, and governance best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions tailored to client requirements, including data cataloguing, lineage tracking, and classification frameworks
• Conduct assessments of client data environments to identify governance gaps and recommend technical solutions
• Configure data governance policies, retention schedules, and compliance controls aligned with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to ensure successful solution deployment
• Develop documentation, runbooks, and training materials to enable client teams
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimise Purview configurations for performance and usability
• Stay current with Microsoft Purview features, Azure updates, and industry governance standards

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience implementing Microsoft Purview or comparable data governance platforms
• Strong understanding of data classification, retention policies, and regulatory compliance frameworks (GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, industry standards)
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services and familiarity with data platforms (SQL, data lakes, data warehouses)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Proven track record delivering enterprise solutions and managing client relationships
• Relevant certifications (Microsoft Azure, Purview, or equivalent) are advantageous
