Lead Level Electrical Designer – Kiewit Power Engineering

About the Role

As a Lead Level Electrical Designer in Kiewit's Drafting & Design department, you will direct the engineering and development of electrical raceway systems on EPC (engineer-procure-construct) power generation projects. This is a senior, full-time, on-site position in Quivira, Johnson County, where you will steer a design team and collaborate closely with engineers and other technical disciplines to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of designers throughout the electrical design lifecycle.
• Develop and oversee electrical raceway systems for power generation facilities.
• Support design deliverables tied to EPC project execution from concept through completion.
• Partner with engineering and cross-discipline teams to align designs and resolve interface challenges.
• Apply senior-level technical judgment to maintain accuracy, consistency, and project standards.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in electrical design, ideally within the power generation or EPC industry.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a design team and its deliverables.
• Working knowledge of electrical raceway systems and related design practices.
• Strong collaboration skills for interfacing with engineering and multiple disciplines.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in Quivira, Johnson County.
